Website Accessibility

Dawlish Community Trust is committed to producing a website that is accessible to all users regardless of the media used for viewing the pages or any physical impairment experienced by the user. In particular, we have designed the website so that it:

can be navigated easily without the aid of a pointing device

Style sheets

Content is kept separate from design by applying the design using CSS stylesheets. Different stylesheets are applied for different media, such as screens and printers, allowing the website to look and work on a variety of media.

These style sheets can be overridden by the user, either by creating a "user stylesheet" or using advanced browser features.

Images and text-only browsers

We have included alternative text for all images providing information about the image content for users who are viewing this website with images disabled or using a text-only browser.

Printing

All pages on this website should print in a "printer-friendly" format. This "printer-friendly" layout hides features used for navigation such as menu bars and displays hyperlinks underline, but in black (as opposed to coloured text) thus saving colour printer inks.

Any font settings (font face and size) that you have set for the screen display will be transferred across to the printed page.
