Detailed progress reports

Five priorities were identified in the 2005 Plan, and they were:

• Skills and Economy Officer
• Establish local tourism group for Dawlish Warren
• Town centre enhancement of the Strand
• Improving The Lawn and Manor Gardens, along with public parks and open spaces
• Form a Community 'Umbrella' organisation

Progress is being made with each, and in many cases other projects have been linked and drawn forward into the first phases of development. The following commentary records progress on all of the original projects and those added subsequently, within each main heading listed below:

• Skills and economic development
• Improving our local heritage
• Improving local transport, parking and traffic
• Improving the quality of life for residents and visitors
• Developing integrated tourism
• Contributing to the Local Development Framework
